About Sasha:

Sasha is a Registered Psychologist who works with adults and couples. Sasha takes a strength-based approach to empower clients, with her aim being to equip clients with the tools they need to take care of their own mental health and wellbeing. Sasha is a down-to-earth person and demonstrates this quality with her work by being genuine and engaging in reflection.

Sasha has experience working with trauma, domestic violence, forensic work, group behavioural change programs, identity (i.e. ethnicity, sexuality), grief, role transitions all underpinned by cross-cultural understanding.

Sasha also has a keen interest in working with individuals and couples seeking to better understand themselves and their identity. Sasha works to uncover and resolve clients negative internal assumptions about themselves; and also focuses on interpersonal conflicts being the source of difficult feelings and emotional distress.

Sasha draws from a variety of modalities, with specialist training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema and Trauma-informed approaches. In couples counselling, Sasha works from the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy.

The other things to know about Sasha! She has an American accent in English as a result of being a third culture kid in Brazil, therefore she can provide counselling in Brazilian Portuguese.

Outside of work Sasha loves any activity on or in the water, and dreams of designing and furnishing her own home one day.
