‘Mindfulness for Life’ Course

This Melbourne based mindfulness course is a 6 week group program designed to help participants develop the psychological skill of mindfulness. The ‘Mindfulness for Life’ course is loosely based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, developed and popularised by Jon Kabat-Zinn. The ‘Mindfulness for Life’ course differs from MBSR in its strong emphasis on practical applications of mindfulness in everyday life. Through guided experiential meditation and hands-on practice, this course will invite you to engage with the group, whilst developing mindful awareness for use in your day-to-day life.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a mental state of awareness that involves paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity and flexibility. When is the Next ‘Mindfulness for Life’ Course?

Dates: Groups available on Monday or Tuesday evenings (six consecutive weeks), starting on Monday 19th of February or Tuesday 20th of February, 2018

The full price of the mindfulness course is $390, however concession rates are available for low income and health care card holders. This price includes extensive learning materials, guided Mindfulness Meditation CD’s, and a home practice journal.

*Medicare rebate of $189.90 available to all those with current GP referral. Rebates are also accessible through some private health insurers, provided your insurance company covers psychological groups.

Why Participate?
