About Sarah:

I am a client-centered therapist, who aims to provide a non-judgemental and collaborative therapeutic space, so that clients feel able to openly discuss presenting issues. I am passionate about helping clients better understand themselves and their experiences, in order to find meaning and direction in their lives.

I work with clients on a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, substance use issues, trauma, suicidality, grief and loss, and self esteem and identity issues, among others. To ensure that sessions are tailored to individual needs, I use a number of different treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Trauma Therapy, Solution-Focussed Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.

I regularly attend conferences and professional development to stay up-to-date with current research, as it is important to me to deliver evidence-based treatment to my clients. I have experience in counseling individuals and facilitating group-based treatment across a number of different settings.
